Composition: per ml:
Enrofloxacin 100 mg.

Interactions and incompatibilities:
• It can present antagonistic effects in joint administration with macrolides, tetracyclines or phenicols.
• Do not use simultaneously with theophylline as theophylline elimination may be delayed.

Indications and target species:
Cattle: Treatment of respiratory tract infections (Pasteurella multocida, Mannhemia haemolytica, Mycoplasma spp.), digestive and septicemia, due to E.coli. Acute arthritis due to Mycoplasma bovis in animals less than 2 years of age.
Treatment of severe acute mastitis due to E.coli.
Sheep: Digestive tract infections and septicemia, due to E.coli. Treatment of mastitis by S. aureus and E.coli.
Goats: Respiratory tract infections by P.multocida and M.haemolytica.
Pigs: Treatment of respiratory tract infections (Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma spp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae), digestive, urinary and septicemia, due to E.coli. Treatment of SDP and MMA syndrome by E.coli and Klebsiella spp.

Contraindications:
Animals with cartilage growth disorders should not be treated. Side effects
• In calves, gastrointestinal disturbances may occur very rarely.
• In pigs, inflammatory tissue reactions at the injection site may occur and may persist for up to 28 days.
• On very rare occasions, the intravenous route in cattle can cause a shock reaction due to circulatory disturbance.

BAYTRIL 

Posology:
Cattle: 5 mg of enrofloxacin/kg bw/day (1 ml of Baytril 100 mg/ml sol. inj. per 20 kg bw per day) for 3 to 5 days.
Acute arthritis: 5 mg of enrofloxacin/kg bw/day. For 5 days. Subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection.
Acute mastitis: 5 mg of enrofloxacin/kg bw/day. slow intravenous 2 consecutive days. The second dose can be sc Do not apply more than 10 ml per SC injection site.
Sheep and Goats: 5 mg of enrofloxacin/kg bw/day by subcutaneous injection for 3 days. Do not apply more than 6 ml per point.
Pigs: 2,5 mg/kg bw/day (2,5 ml of Baytril 100 mg/ml injectable solution per 100 kg bw per day), for 3 days intramuscularly.
• In digestive tract infections, 5 mg enrofloxacin/kg/day for 3 days. Administer on the neck at the base of the ear. Do not apply more than 3 ml at the same point.

Special precautions:
• When using this product, official recommendations on the use of antimicrobials should be taken into account.
• Enrofloxacin has not shown reproductive effects or teratogenic potential in reproductive toxicity studies in laboratory animals.
• Do not handle the product if there is hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water.

Sheep: 4 days.
Goats: 6 days.

Cattle: 4 days SC. 3 days IV.

Goats: 4 days.

Conservation mode:
• Shelf life once the container is opened: 28 days. Observations With veterinary prescription.
