Composition per ml:
Polysaccharide iron 100 mg; cobalt chloride 4 µg; cyanocobalamin 25 µg.
Pharmacological properties
Hierrodexina®, is a sterile solution of polysaccharide iron with cobalt and vitamin B12, specific
for the treatment of anemia in animals, and in a special way iron deficiency in piglets.
Interactions and incompatibilities

Indications and target species
Cattle, Pigs and Sheep: Hypochromic anemia, due to lack of iron, mainly anemia of
the piglets. To increase resistance to microbial diseases (pneumonia, diarrhea,
etc.). During pregnancy, convalescence, bovine piroplasmosis and, in general, as a tonic
restorative.

Route of administration
Deep intramuscular.
• The posterior part of the leg muscle is recommended as the point of inoculation.
• Before inserting the needle, it is interesting to pull the skin laterally, fixing it with the thumb, with

of the medicine.
Posology
Cattle: 5 to 10 ml/adult cattle and 3 ml/calf.
Piglets:
• Preventive: 1 to 2 ml/piglet at 2-4 days of birth.
• Curative: 2 ml/piglet at the first symptoms of anemia, or between 7 and 21 days after the
birth.
Sheep: 3 to 5 ml/adult ovine and 1 ml/lamb.
