Composition and Presentation
Cimalgex® is available in three concentrations:
- Cimalgex 8 mg: Cimicoxib 8 mg.

- Cimalgex 80 mg: Cimicoxib 80 mg.
Excipients : Includes lactose monohydrate, povidone K25, crospovidone, sodium lauryl sulfate, macrogol 400, and pork liver powder.
Dosage and Administration
Route of administration: Oral.
- Osteoarthritis: Administer 2 mg/kg once daily for 6 months. For prolonged treatments, regular veterinary monitoring is necessary.
- Perioperative pain: Administer one dose 2 hours before surgery, followed by 3-7 days of treatment as directed by your veterinarian.
Note : The tablets can be administered with or without food, and can be divided according to treatment needs.
Special Precautions
Use in animals:
- Avoid in dogs under 10 weeks of age or in dehydrated, hypotensive animals or those with heart, liver or kidney failure.
- Do not use in combination with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids.
- Regularly monitor kidney and liver function during long-term treatment.
Use by humans:
- Avoid contact if you are allergic to NSAIDs.
- Wash your hands after handling the medication.
- In case of accidental ingestion, consult a doctor immediately.
Side effects

- Avoid in dogs with known hypersensitivity to cimicoxib or any excipients.
- Do not administer to dogs with gastrointestinal or hemorrhagic disorders or a history of intolerance to other NSAIDs.
