Tablet
Round, flat, bevelled edge, white to off-white tablet with a break-score
on one of their faces. The tablets can be divided into two equal parts.

Indications for use, specifying the target species
Reduction of inflammation and pain caused by musculoskeletal disorders and joint disease
degenerative. As a continuation of parenteral analgesia in the control of post-surgical pain.
Contraindications
Do not use on cats.
Do not use on puppies less than 4 months of age.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Do not use in dogs with heart, liver or kidney disease, where there is a possibility of ulceration or
gastrointestinal bleeding or when there are signs of blood dyscrasia.
Adverse reactions (frequency and seriousness)
Typical side effects associated with NSAIDs have been reported, such as vomiting, loose stools or
diarrhoea, fecal occult blood, loss of appetite and lethargy. These adverse reactions usually occur
in the first week of treatment; in most cases they are transient and disappear after
stop treatment, although in very rare cases they can be serious or fatal.
In the event of adverse reactions, the use of the drug will be suspended and a doctor will be consulted.

Use during pregnancy or lactation
Studies carried out in laboratory species (rat and rabbit) have shown the fetotoxic effects of
carprofen in doses close to the therapeutic dose. The safety of the drug has not been established.

Carprofen should not be administered together with glucocorticoids.
Dosage and route of administration
For oral administration.
4 mg of carprofen per kg of body weight and day.
An initial dose of 4 mg of carprofen per kg of body weight and day is administered as a single daily dose or
divided into two equal shots. The daily dose can be reduced based on the clinical response.
The length of treatment depends on the response observed. Long-term treatment requires
regular veterinary supervision.
To expand postoperative analgesic and anti-inflammatory coverage, parenteral preoperative treatment
with injectable carprofen can continue with carprofen tablets at 4 mg/kg/day for 5 days.
The indicated dose should not be exceeded.

Shelf life of the veterinary medicinal product packaged for sale: 3 years.
Split or unused tablets should be discarded immediately.
Special storage precautions
Store in a dry place in the original packaging. Protect from light.
