Description

Small dogs also suffer from atopic dermatitis, and for them there is Zenrelia 4.8 mg 30 Tablets, the lowest concentration of this oral treatment from Elanco containing ilunocitinib. It is designed for dogs weighing 3 kg or more and older than 12 months who experience intense itching and sensitive skin.

For what do you use it

Ilunocitinib is a JAK pathway inhibitor that works from within to control skin inflammation. In dogs with atopic dermatitis or chronic skin sensitivity, it helps reduce scratching, redness, and discomfort, improving their quality of life. This presentation is designed for small breeds and allows for precise dosage adjustment thanks to the tablet's score line. It should not be used in puppies under 12 months of age, dogs weighing less than 3 kg, pregnant or lactating females, or in conjunction with immunosuppressants without veterinary supervision.

How it is presented

  • Box of 30 palatable, coated, and score-divisible tablets.
  • Ilunocitinib 4,8 mg per tablet; excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphate dihydrate, pregelatinized starch, povidone K30 and magnesium stearate.
  • Dogs over 3 kg and over 12 months old; this concentration is geared towards lighter dogs.

How it is administered

Once a day, orally, either directly in the mouth or with food. Your veterinarian will determine whether your dog needs half a tablet or a whole tablet based on their weight, as well as the duration of treatment. Do not change the dosage on your own.
