LAXATRACT 50ML | TREATMENT OF CONSTIPATION IN DOGS AND CATS
27,54 €
Laxatract is a lactulose solution (667 mg/ml) indicated for the treatment of constipation and the symptomatic treatment of diseases that require facilitating defecation (e.g., partial obstructions) in dogs and cats.
Laxatract is a palatable syrup containing lactulose for the treatment of constipation in dogs and cats. It facilitates defecation in cases of intestinal atony, trichobezoars, excessive intestinal contents, and other conditions that require softened stools.
Benefits:
- Effective against constipation: Lactulose is an osmotic laxative that draws water into the intestine, softening stool and facilitating its elimination.
- Versatile: Useful in cases of intestinal atony (common after surgery), trichobezoars (hairballs in cats), excessive intestinal content, partial obstructions, rectal diverticulum, proctitis and poisoning.
- Safe: Lactulose is not absorbed in the intestine, so it acts locally and is well tolerated by dogs and cats.
- Easy to manage: The palatable syrup can be mixed with food or administered directly into the mouth.
How Does It Work?
Lactulose reaches the colon where it is metabolized by bacteria, generating acids that stimulate intestinal movement and soften stool.
