Indications and target species
Dogs y Cats: die for Staphylococcus aureus).
• Genitourinary infections (cystitis, pyelonephritis, urethritis and prostatitis caused by E. coli).
• Respiratory infections (bronchopneumonia and upper respiratory tract infections).
Contraindications
• Animals allergic to cephalosporins.
• Herbivores and small rodents.
efectos secundarios
Occasionally nausea and vomiting may occur after treatment. The administration, together
with food, decreases these symptoms. Allergies to
cephalosporins in animals.
Route of administration
Orally.
Posology
20 mg/kg bw/day, in a single dose. The total daily dose can be divided into two administrations,
if the vet deems it appropriate.
• Treatment should be continued for at least 48 hours after the disappearance of symptoms.
Special precautions
• People allergic to cephalosporins should avoid skin contact with the product.
• Should be used with care in animals known to be sensitive to other beta-lactams.
• When it is necessary to repeat the treatment, the product should not be applied in the same injection site.
