BANACEP Vet 5 mg: Kidney and heart health for dogs and cats 🐶🐱

BANACEP Vet 5 mg is a Calier medicine containing benazepril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It is available in oral tablets and is indicated for:

• Dogs: Treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs weighing more than 5 kg.
• Cats: Treatment of chronic renal failure.

How does BANACEP Vet work?

Benazepril works by lowering blood pressure and making the heart work easier in dogs, and helping to protect kidney function in cats.

Dosage:

• Dogs: 0,23 mg of benazepril per kg of weight, once a day.
  • ½ tablet for dogs weighing 5 to 10 kg.
  • 1 tablet for dogs weighing 10 to 20 kg.
• Cats: 0,46 mg of benazepril per kg of weight, once a day.
  • ½ tablet for cats from 2,5 to 5 kg.
  • 1 tablet for cats from 5 to 10 kg.

Important:

• Administer once daily, with or without food.
• If necessary, your veterinarian may double the dose.

Specifications:

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to ACEIs.
• Dogs with heart failure due to aortic stenosis.
• Pregnancy or lactation.

Side effects:

In some cases, vomiting, diarrhea or lethargy may be observed. If you notice any adverse effects, consult your veterinarian.
