INFLACAM 5 MG 20 ML Relief of inflammation and pain

Composition::
Meloxicam 5mg/ml

Indications:
Relief of inflammation and pain in musculoskeletal disorders and in the postoperative period in dogs. Reduction of postoperative pain after minor soft tissue surgery in cats.

Posology: and how to use:
Dogs:
Musculoskeletal disorders: 0,2 mg/kg via SC (= 0,4 ml/10 kg weight). Continue treatment 24 hours later with Inflacam oral suspension or chewable tablets (0,1 mg/kg).
Postoperative: 0,2 mg/kg via IV or SC (= 0,4 ml/10 kg).
Cats:
Postoperative: 0,3 mg/kg (= 0,06 ml/kg) via SC. Do not pierce the container more than 42 times.

Contraindications::
Gastrointestinal, bleeding, hepatic, cardiac or renal disorders. Hypersensitivity. Animals less than 6 weeks. Cats less than 2 kg. Pregnancy and lactation

Remarks::
Do not use in dehydrated, hypovolemic or hypotensive animals. In cats, do not administer any follow-up treatment with other NSAIDs as a suitable dosage has not been established. It can cause typical side effects of NSAIDs, such as loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, fecal occult blood, lethargy and renal failure (rare). May cause elevation of liver enzymes, anaphylactoid reactions, bloody diarrhea, hematemesis, and gastrointestinal ulceration (very rare). Accidental self-injection may cause pain, consult a doctor. People with hypersensitivity to NSAIDs should avoid contact.

Interactions:
Do not administer with other NSAIDs, glucocorticosteroids, nephrotoxic drugs, diuretics, anticoagulants, aminoglycoside antibiotics or other substances with high affinity for proteins. Anesthesia: in animals at risk consider fluid therapy. The combined use of NSAIDs and anesthetic may increase the risk for renal function.
