ZOOGAMA-D is an external antiparasitic topical solution for sheep. It contains diazinon at 150 mg per ml, a stabilized organophosphate that inhibits cholinesterase in parasites. This action disrupts the nervous system of target pests, leading to their death.
It is indicated for the control and prevention of scabies (mange), lice, fleas, ticks, keds (Melophagus ovinus), and flies and their larvae. The product is applied via dipping or spraying. For scabies treatment, sheep must be fully immersed except head and ears for at least one minute, with the head dipped twice allowing breathing between immersions.
For dipping, prepare a bath with 250 mg diazinon per liter of water (20 ml Zoogama-D per 12 liters). For replenishment, use 750 mg diazinon per liter (60 ml per 12 liters). For spraying, use 625 mg diazinon per liter (50 ml per 12 liters). For tick infestations, bathe sheep in spring before lambing, repeating after 6 weeks if severe.
