ZODON 88mg 120 tablets contain clindamycin hydrochloride, a bacteriostatic antibiotic from the lincosamide group. It acts against aerobic Gram-positive cocci, anaerobic Gram-negative bacilli, and clostridia in vitro. After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Indicated for dogs with infected wounds, abscesses, dental and oral cavity infections caused by Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacteroides spp., F. necrophorum, and C. perfringens. Also treats superficial pyoderma associated with Staphylococcus pseudintermedius and osteomyelitis caused by S. aureus.
For pyoderma, maintain treatment for 21 days. For osteomyelitis, administer 11 mg/kg every 12 hours for at least 28 days. If no clinical response in 4 days (general) or 14 days (osteomyelitis), reconsider diagnosis.
Each tablet contains clindamycin (as hydrochloride) 88 mg.
