Enrofloxacin is a synthetic fluoroquinolone antibiotic with concentration dependent bactericidal activity. It is active against most Gram negative bacteria, especially Enterobacteriaceae such as Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., and Enterobacter spp. Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus intermedius are usually susceptible.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa susceptibility is variable. The tablets are flavored and well accepted by animals.
Each tablet contains 150 mg of enrofloxacin.
