SYNULOX combines amoxicillin, a semisynthetic penicillin that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by blocking transpeptidases and carboxypeptidases, causing osmotic imbalance and bacterial death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that irreversibly binds to bacterial enzymes, protecting amoxicillin from degradation and expanding its spectrum against resistant germs.
The recommended dose is 12.50 mg per kg body weight twice daily, equivalent to 1.5 tablets per 30 kg per dose. Treatment should not exceed 5 to 7 days.
Each tablet contains amoxicillin (as trihydrate) 200 mg and clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate) 50 mg.
