STRONGHOLD GATO PLUS is a topical antiparasitic solution for cats. It treats and prevents infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes hexagonus, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus), ear mites (Otodectes cynotis), biting lice (Felicola subrostratus), roundworms (Toxocara cati), and hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme). It also prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis with monthly use.
The product contains two active ingredients: selamectin and sarolaner. Selamectin kills adult fleas, flea eggs, and larvae, and treats roundworms, hookworms, and ear mites. Sarolaner kills ticks and fleas by disrupting their nervous system. Ticks must attach and start feeding to be exposed to sarolaner.
Efficacy data from the description: The product has immediate and persistent flea-killing activity for 5 weeks, killing adult fleas before they lay eggs. It has acaricidal effect against Ixodes ricinus and Ixodes hexagonus for 5 weeks, and against Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus for 4 weeks.
