RETARDO ESTEROIDE is a synthetic glucocorticoid derived from cortisol. It treats inflammatory and allergic processes in horses, dogs, and cats. Indications include inflammations caused by infections, allergies, trauma, or other etiologies.
The active ingredient triamcinolone acetonide has five times the anti-inflammatory activity of cortisol. It has almost no mineralocorticoid activity. This makes it effective for managing acute and chronic inflammatory conditions.
The product is a sterile injectable suspension. It is administered intramuscularly, subcutaneously, intrasynovially, or intraarticularly. Dosing is species-specific and based on body weight. The product should be shaken before use.
Each ml contains 2 mg of triamcinolone acetonide.
