PROENTERIC TRIPLEX is an antidiarrheal for the symptomatic management of chronic diarrhea in small animals. It helps restore the intestinal microflora, which is altered during diarrheal processes. By improving the balance of the intestinal microflora, it reestablishes the defensive barrier of the intestine, making stools more solid.
The product contains a synbiotic with probiotic Enterococcus faecium (NCIMB 10415) and prebiotic PREPLEX (FOS and arabinogalactans). Enterococcus faecium promotes competitive exclusion, fighting the overgrowth of pathogenic microorganisms that trigger diarrhea. The prebiotic serves as a specific substrate for beneficial bacteria, enhancing the probiotic effect through symbiosis.
Kaolin retains bacteria and their toxins, preventing them from acting on the intestinal mucosa, and also makes stools more solid by retaining water. Pectin thickens liquid feces through water retention and normalization of intestinal peristalsis. Together, these ingredients improve digestive efficiency and help the enterocyte absorb nutrients.
