NOROMECTIN POUR ON is a broad spectrum antiparasitic solution formulated with 1% Ivermectin. It controls internal and external parasites in beef cattle, non lactating dairy cattle, and pigs. The active ingredient Ivermectin works by binding to glutamate gated chloride channels in parasite nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death.
In cattle, it treats gastrointestinal roundworms including Ostertagia ostertagi (including inhibited larvae), Haemonchus placei, Trichostrongylus axei, Cooperia spp., and Oesophagostomum radiatum. It also controls lungworms (Dictyocaulus viviparus), grubs (Hypoderma bovis and Hypoderma lineatum), mange mites (Psoroptes bovis and Sarcoptes scabiei var. bovis), and lice (Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Damalinia bovis, and Solenopotes capillatus).
In pigs, it treats gastrointestinal roundworms including Ascaris suum, Hyostrongylus rubidus, Oesophagostomum spp., Metastrongylus spp., and Strongyloides ransomi. It also controls mange mites (Sarcoptes scabiei var. suis) and lice (Haematopinus suis). Ivermectin is rapidly absorbed and provides long lasting protection against reinfestation.
