Reduces fever in acute infectious respiratory disease when combined with antimicrobial therapy.
NOROCARP BOVINO INYECTABLE 50ML is a clear, colorless to pale yellow injectable solution containing 50 mg/ml carprofen. It is indicated for the reduction of pyrexia in acute cases of infectious respiratory disease in cattle, used in combination with appropriate antimicrobial therapy. The product is administered subcutaneously.
Carprofen is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces fever by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis. Clinical studies in cattle show a transient local reaction at the injection site that resolves within 24 hours. The product should not be used in animals with cardiac, hepatic, or renal impairment, gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, or known hypersensitivity.
Do not exceed the recommended dose or treatment duration. Avoid use in dehydrated, hypovolemic, or hypotensive animals due to potential renal toxicity. Do not administer with other NSAIDs or within 24 hours of another NSAID. Use in animals under 6 weeks or in elderly animals may require dose reduction and careful monitoring.
Active ingredient: Carprofen 50 mg/ml. Excipients: Ethanol (anhydrous) 0.1 ml/ml, Sodium Formaldehyde Sulfoxylate 2.0 mg/ml.
