It eliminates nematodes (roundworms such as Toxocara, Ancylostoma, Trichuris), cestodes (tapeworms such as Dipylidium, Taenia, Echinococcus) and prevents dirofilariosis (heartworm). The product is ideal for monthly deworming in multi-dog households or veterinary clinics, with an economical 100-tablet format.
Each tablet contains milbemycin oxime 12.5 mg and praziquantel 125 mg. Milbemycin oxime acts against larvae and adults of nematodes and prevents heartworm. Praziquantel eliminates cestodes by damaging their tegument. The product is manufactured by Elanco.
Efficacy is rapid: parasites are eliminated within 24 to 48 hours. The product is palatable and easy to administer with food. Possible mild side effects include lethargy and rare vomiting.
