MILBEMAX treats mixed infections of cestodes and nematodes in cats. It contains milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Milbemycin oxime targets roundworms and prevents heartworm disease. Praziquantel kills tapeworms.
The product is indicated for immature and adult stages of Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus multilocularis, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, and Toxocara cati. It is also indicated for the prevention of Dirofilaria immitis when used with concomitant cestode treatment.
Administer with or after food for optimal protection. Minimum dose is 2 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg body weight. Monthly dosing schedule depends on weight.
Each tablet contains milbemycin oxime 4 mg and praziquantel 10 mg.
