MARBOCYL FD 20 ML is an antibacterial injectable solution containing marbofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It treats infections caused by bacteria sensitive to marbofloxacin in dogs and cats.
In dogs, it treats infected wounds, abscesses, and lower urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis. It also prevents surgical infections caused by Staphylococcus intermedius, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
In cats, it treats infected wounds and abscesses and prevents surgical infections caused by Staphylococcus intermedius, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Use only after confirming bacterial sensitivity for curative indications.
Active ingredient: Marbofloxacin. Concentration: 20 mg per mL after reconstitution.
Dogs: treatment of infected wounds and abscesses, lower urinary tract infections (Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis), and prevention of surgical infections (Staphylococcus intermedius, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa). Dogs: infected wounds and abscesses: 2 mg/kg/day as a single subcutaneous injection, followed by oral marbofloxacin tablets for 6 days. Lower urinary tract infections: 4 mg/kg/day in 3 subcutaneous injections at 4-day intervals. Surgical infection prevention: 2 mg/kg as a single intravenous injection just before surgery. Cats: infected wounds and abscesses: 2 mg/kg/day as a single subcutaneous injection for 3 to 5 days. Surgical infection prevention: 2 mg/kg as a single intravenous injection just before surgery.
