Provides effective anti-inflammatory and analgesic relief for musculoskeletal disorders and postoperative pain.
LOXICOM is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) from the oxicam family. Its active ingredient, meloxicam, helps relieve inflammation and pain in dogs and cats. It is used for musculoskeletal disorders and postoperative pain management.
Meloxicam works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, reducing the production of prostaglandins that cause inflammation and pain. This provides analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects.
In dogs, the initial injection can be followed by oral suspension treatment 24 hours later for prolonged therapy. The effect of a single injection lasts approximately 24 hours.
Active ingredient: Meloxicam 1.5 mg per 100 mL.
For dogs: relief of pain and inflammation in chronic and acute musculoskeletal disorders, and management of postoperative pain. For cats: management of postoperative pain after orthopedic or soft tissue surgery.
Dogs (musculoskeletal disorders): 0.2 mg/kg (0.4 mL/10 kg) subcutaneously. Dogs (postoperative pain): 0.2 mg/kg (0.4 mL/10 kg) intravenously or subcutaneously. Cats (postoperative pain): 0.3 mg/kg (0.06 mL/kg) subcutaneously. In dogs, after initial injection, treatment may continue with LOXICOM oral suspension 24 hours later.
