Meloxicam provides rapid absorption and high bioavailability. Clinical response typically appears within 3 to 4 days of treatment. It can be used for long term therapy under veterinary supervision.
For acute conditions, administer a loading dose of 0.2 mg/kg on day one, followed by 0.1 mg/kg every 24 hours. If no improvement occurs within 10 days, discontinue treatment and consult a veterinarian.
