Provides rapid relief from fluid retention associated with heart failure in dogs.
LIBEO 40mg is a loop diuretic specifically formulated to treat ascites and edema in dogs, especially those associated with heart failure. Its active ingredient, furosemide, ensures efficient excretion of fluids and electrolytes, providing rapid and effective relief for conditions related to fluid retention.
LIBEO increases urinary volume by inhibiting the reabsorption of sodium, chloride, and potassium. It begins to act one hour after administration, with peak activity between 2 and 3 hours.
Clinical efficacy is proven through effective reduction of edema and ascites, particularly in dogs with heart failure. The formulation is palatable with chicken and yeast flavor, promoting easy administration.
Each 1320 mg tablet contains 40 mg of furosemide. Excipients include chicken flavor, yeast extract, and lactose monohydrate among others.
