It also protects catheters, ostomies, ICU incisions, closed wounds, and skin around wounds.
The spray works through its antiseptic action. Chlorhexidine digluconate (20 mg/g) provides broad spectrum antimicrobial activity. Ethanol adds a short acting antiseptic effect. Menthol and thymol offer antiseptic and analgesic properties with a cooling sensation, providing freshness and relief. After application, the product forms a bioadhesive film that supports healing and discourages licking due to its bitter taste.
