Provides relief of inflammation and pain in acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders in dogs.
INFLACAM Masticable is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the relief of inflammation and pain in dogs with acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. It contains meloxicam, an oxicam-class NSAID that works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing inflammation and pain.
For initial treatment, administer a single dose of 0.2 mg meloxicam per kg body weight on the first day. Maintenance dosing is 0.1 mg meloxicam per kg body weight once every 24 hours. Each 1 mg chewable tablet provides the daily maintenance dose for a 10 kg dog; each 2.5 mg tablet provides the maintenance dose for a 25 kg dog.
Do not use in pregnant or lactating dogs, dogs with gastrointestinal irritation or hemorrhage, impaired hepatic, cardiac or renal function, or hemorrhagic disorders. Avoid use in dogs with hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any excipient, and do not administer to dogs under 6 weeks of age or weighing less than 4 kg.
Each chewable tablet contains meloxicam 1 mg or meloxicam 2.5 mg.
