Broad spectrum bactericidal action against Gram negative and positive bacteria.
GANADEXIL ENRO 5% is an injectable antibiotic solution for cattle, pigs, and dogs. It treats respiratory tract infections such as bronchopneumonia, pasteurellosis, and mycoplasmosis. It also treats gastrointestinal infections including diarrhea caused by colibacilli, colibacillosis, colisepticemia, and enterotoxemia.
The active substance enrofloxacin belongs to the fluoroquinolone class. It exerts bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II), preventing negative axial rotation of the DNA molecule. Enrofloxacin acts at low concentrations against most Gram negative and many Gram positive bacteria, both aerobic and anaerobic.
In cattle, after intramuscular administration of 5 mg/kg, a maximum concentration of 1 µg/ml is observed and maintained for over 6 hours. The volume of distribution is 0.6 l/kg, plasma elimination half life is 2 hours, and clearance is 210 ml/kg/h.
Each ml contains enrofloxacin 50 mg and benzyl alcohol 10 mg.
Cattle (calves): respiratory tract infections (bronchopneumonia, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis) and gastrointestinal tract infections (diarrhea caused by colibacilli, colibacillosis, colisepticemia). Pigs: treatment of diarrhea in piglets, diarrhea and enterotoxemia caused by E. coli and Salmonella spp., and MMA syndrome. Dogs: treatment of respiratory, digestive, urinary tract, and skin infections caused by enrofloxacin sensitive microorganisms.
