It treats and prevents flea and tick infestations while providing repellent (antifeeding) effects against sandflies, biting lice, and mosquitoes. The product kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) within 24 hours of application and prevents reinfestation for 4 weeks. It can be used as part of a veterinary diagnosed flea allergy dermatitis treatment strategy.
The product acts as an acaricide against ticks with immediate action on Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus, though some ticks present at application may not die within 48 hours. Persistent acaricidal action lasts 4 weeks against Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus, and Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Repellent (antifeeding) effect against Dermacentor reticulatus starts from day 7 and lasts up to 4 weeks. Against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus), repellent and insecticidal action persists for 3 weeks. Against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens), repellent effect lasts 4 weeks. The product also repels and kills stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for five weeks.
