FRONTLINE COMBO is a topical insecticidal and acaricidal solution for dogs. It treats infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus), and biting lice (Trichodectes canis). It can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).
The product contains fipronil, an adulticide from the phenylpyrazole family that interacts with ligand-gated chloride channels, and (S)-methoprene, an insect growth regulator that inhibits development of immature insect stages. The combination kills adult fleas and ticks and prevents flea multiplication by inhibiting egg, larval, and pupal development.
Insecticidal efficacy against new adult flea infestations persists for 8 weeks. Acaricidal efficacy against ticks persists for up to 4 weeks. The product is safe for use during pregnancy and lactation.
Active ingredients: Fipronil and (S)-methoprene. For dogs 2-10 kg, each 0.67 ml pipette contains 67 mg fipronil and 60.30 mg (S)-methoprene.
