It treats conditions such as arthritis, pneumonia, bronchopneumonia, leptospirosis, mastitis, metritis, and skin abscesses. The product combines two active ingredients: benzylpenicillin procaine and dihydrostreptomycin sulfate.
Benzylpenicillin procaine is a beta-lactam antibiotic from the natural penicillin G group. It has a narrow spectrum and is for parenteral use only. Dihydrostreptomycin is a bactericidal aminoglycoside antibiotic. The combination provides broad antibacterial coverage against sensitive gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
