EQ VERM JERINGA 30GR is an antiparasitic and anthelmintic oral paste for equids. It treats gastrointestinal nematodes including Strongylus vulgaris, S. edentatus, S. equinus, Oxyuris equi, Parascaris equorum, Strongyloides westeri, Cylicostephanus, Cylicocyclus, Cyathostomum, Triodontophorus, Cylicodontophorus, Gyalocephalus, and Probstmayria. It also treats lung nematodes such as Dictyocaulus filaria.
The active ingredient oxibendazole belongs to the benzimidazole group. It acts by influencing nutrient uptake and affecting the enzyme fumarate reductase. This leads to decreased glycogen levels, causing the helminth to die from starvation. It is active against all stages including eggs.
After oral administration, low solubility results in minimal absorption. Plasma levels never exceed 1% of the administered dose, reaching peak concentration at 6-30 hours depending on species.
Each 30 g syringe contains 6 g of oxibendazole, with excipients and preservatives q.s.

10 mg oxibendazole per kg body weight in a single dose (equivalent to 6 ml of EQ-Verm per 100 kg body weight). For Strongyloides, use 15 mg oxibendazole per kg body weight (equivalent to 9 ml per 100 kg). Foals: administer from 6 weeks of age at 4-6 week intervals. Adult horses and ponies: treat every 6-8 weeks. Lactating mares: treat 24-48 hours before foaling and every 6 weeks thereafter until autumn. New arrivals: administer a dose upon arrival and keep animals off pasture for at least 8 hours.
