VIRBAMINTHE 25 ml is an oral paste for internal parasites in dogs and cats. It is formulated to treat and prevent infestations by nematodes (such as Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, and Ancylostoma caninum) and cestodes (such as Dipylidium caninum and Taenia spp.). Its active ingredients are niclosamide, effective against cestodes, and oxibendazole, which has a broad spectrum of activity against nematodes.
Directions: Use for routine deworming every 3 months in puppies from 2 weeks of age, adults, lactating females, and in cases of confirmed infestation. Ideal for dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds.
Composition (per ml):
– Niclosamide: 500 mg
– Oxibendazole: 250 mg
– Excipients: qs
Presentations available:
– 25 ml syringe
How to use:
Administer orally, directly at the base of the tongue or mixed with food. Dosage: 1 ml per 5 kg of body weight (equivalent to 50 mg/kg of niclosamide and 25 mg/kg of oxibendazole). Repeat the application every 3 months or as directed by a veterinarian. Discard the syringe after use.
Important precautions:
– Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the components.
– Safe from 2 weeks of age; consult a veterinarian for pregnant or lactating females.
– Store at room temperature (15-30°C), protected from light and moisture.
Notes on side effects:
Generally well tolerated. Possible mild and transient effects:
– Excessive salivation
– Ataxia or mild tremors
