– Skin infections (intertrigo, folliculitis, impetigo, furunculosis) caused by sensitive strains.
– Soft tissue infections caused by susceptible strains.
– Upper and lower urinary tract infections, associated or not with prostatitis or epididymitis, caused by susceptible strains.
– Respiratory tract infections caused by susceptible strains.

Contraindications
• Although studies have shown that administration of marbofloxacin to medium-sized growing dogs, the Beagle breed, at doses up to 6 mg/kg/day for 13 weeks, did not show signs of articular cartilage toxicity, it should not be used. this product in dogs
large growing breeds

• Contraindicated during the gestation and lactation periods.

efectos secundarios
• At the recommended therapeutic dose, no serious adverse reactions are expected in dogs or cats.
• Occasionally mild adverse reactions such as vomiting, diarrhea, polydipsia, polyuria and hyperactivity may appear. These signs cease spontaneously after treatment and do not require its discontinuation.
• Due to the release of histamine that it could produce, the appearance of symptoms of allergic processes has been described, which are mild and transient skin reactions (severe hypotension is not observed).
• On rare occasions, nervous symptoms (ataxia, agitation, aggressiveness, convulsions and prostration) and joint pain may appear.

Route of administration
Orally.
Posology
The recommended dose is 2 mg/kg/day (1 tablet per 10 kg per day) in a single daily administration.
• In skin and soft tissue infections, the duration of treatment is a minimum of 5 days. Depending on the clinical evolution, it can last up to 40 days.
• In the case of superficial and severe pyoderma, an initial duration of treatment of 10 to 20 days respectively is recommended, with a maximum duration of up to 40 days that will be established based on the clinical evolution of the process.
• In lower urinary tract infections, the duration of treatment is a minimum of 10 days. In case of associated prostatitis or epididymitis, or in case of upper urinary tract infections, treatment can be extended up to 28 days.
• In the case of respiratory infections, the duration of treatment is at least 7 days, and can be extended up to 21 depending on the clinical evolution of the process.

Overdose: The characteristic symptoms that may appear are salivation and vomiting, weight loss and decreased activity.
Weight reduction of the thymus has also been described in dogs for 14 days and with the highest dose tested (100 mg/kg).
