Product description

Panacur is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic indicated for the effective treatment of gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes in cattle, sheep, goats, and horses, including larvae, adults, and eggs. Its formula with fenbendazole ensures safe and effective action against internal parasites such as Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Cooperia, Dictyocaulus, and many more, contributing to the overall health and well-being of the animals.

Indications

• Meat: Treatment of gastrointestinal nematodes (Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Cooperia) and pulmonary nematodes (Dictyocaulus viviparus).
• Sheep and goats: Combats gastrointestinal nematodes (Trichostrongylus, Chabertia, Trichuris) and pulmonary nematodes, as well as cestodes such as Moniezia spp.
• equines: Control of gastrointestinal nematodes (Strongylus, Cyathostomum, Parascaris) and pulmonary nematodes (Dictyocaulus arnfieldi).
• Effective against slimy larvae of small strongyles and Strongyloides westeri in foals.

Dosage and Administration

• Meat: 7,5 mg of fenbendazole/kg of body weight in a single dose (7,5 ml per 100 kg).
• Sheep and goats: 5 mg of fenbendazole/kg bw (0,5 ml per 10 kg). For cestodes, 10 mg/kg.
• equines: 7,5 mg of fenbendazole/kg bw in a single dose. For mucous larvae of strongyles, 30 mg/kg.

Administer Panacur directly orally using a dosing gun. Shake well before use and adjust the dose according to the animal's weight.

Precautions and Warnings

• Avoid resistance: Do not repeatedly use anthelmintics of the same class over long periods.
• Underdosing: Calculate the animal's weight accurately to ensure effectiveness.
• Resistance: Consult your veterinarian if resistance to benzimidazoles is suspected.
• Handling: Use gloves to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.

Wait time

• Meat: Bovine (8 days), Ovine/Caprine (16 days), Equine (14 days).
• Milk: Bovine (156 hours), Ovine/Caprine (192 hours). Not authorized in equines whose milk is for human consumption.

Conservation

No special conditions required. Use immediately after opening.
