Its main benefit is offering an orthopedic and breathable surface that promotes deep rest and joint health for your pet, ideal as a primary bed or as an addition to carriers.

Characteristics and benefits

• High Density Memory Foam Mattress: It adapts to the dog's body, relieving pressure points and helping older dogs or those with joint problems.
• Removable and machine washable cover (30°C): It facilitates daily hygiene, eliminating hair, mites and bad odors without losing its shape.
• Non-slip base with 3D mesh fabric: It improves air circulation under the mattress, preventing the accumulation of moisture and heat in summer.
• Raised and padded edges: They provide gentle cervical support, ideal for dogs that like to rest their head while sleeping.
• Available in various sizes (from S to XL): It adapts to small breeds like a Chihuahua up to large breeds like a German Shepherd.
• Hypoallergenic and phthalate-free materials: Safe for dogs with sensitive skin or seasonal allergies.

How to use

Place the Ferplast Nuvis Dog Bed in a dry location, away from direct drafts and prolonged sunlight. For first use, remove the cover and wash it according to the manufacturer's instructions. No further assembly is required; the bed arrives ready to use. It is recommended to vacuum the surface weekly to maintain breathability. Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 40°C. See the product label for detailed washing instructions.

FAQ

Is it suitable for dogs that bite or scratch the bed?

Yes, the outer cover is made of 600D Oxford fabric that is resistant to moderate tears and scratches. However, if your dog is very destructive, it is recommended to supervise the first use and opt for a bed made of more robust materials.

Can I wash the cover in the washing machine without it losing its shape?

Yes, the cover is removable and machine washable at 30°C on a delicate cycle. Air drying is recommended; do not tumble dry to preserve the fabric's elasticity. The inner mattress should not be washed; simply air it out periodically.

What size should I choose if my dog weighs 15 kg?

For a 15 kg dog (medium size, such as a beagle or cocker spaniel), size M (60 x 45 cm) or L (75 x 55 cm) is recommended if the dog stretches out a lot while sleeping. Measure your dog from nose to base of tail and add 10-15 cm to choose the optimal size.

Does viscoelastic foam recover its shape after being compressed in its packaging?

Yes, the memory foam in the Ferplast Dog Bed Nuvis is designed to regain its original shape within 24-48 hours of unpacking. If you notice it takes longer, leave the bed in a warm room and ventilate the area. Do not use direct heat to speed up the process.

Can I use it as a cat bed?

Although designed for dogs, cats can also use it if they are comfortable. However, the smallest size (S: 45 x 30 cm) may be too small for a stretching adult cat. Size M is recommended for larger breeds such as the Maine Coon.

How long does the bed last?

With proper use and maintenance (washing every 2-3 weeks and vacuuming weekly), the Ferplast Nuvis Dog Bed can last between 3 and 5 years. The viscoelastic foam maintains its adaptability for at least 2 years if not exposed to excessive moisture.
