ECTODEX SOLUCION is an antiparasitic insecticide-acaricide topical emulsion for dogs. It treats demodectic mange (sarcoptic mange) caused by mites. The active ingredient amitraz works by inhibiting monoamine oxidase and octopamine receptors in parasites, leading to their death.
Each milliliter contains 50 mg of amitraz. The product is applied as a bath using 10 ml per liter of water. Treatments repeat every 5 to 7 days for at least 3 weeks after all clinical symptoms disappear.
