Effective control of internal and external parasites for horses and equines.
ECOMECTIN is an oral antiparasitic paste formulated specifically for horses and equines, containing ivermectin at 1.87% (18.7 mg/g). It eliminates a wide range of internal parasites including gastrointestinal nematodes (Strongylus vulgaris, Oxyuris equi), lungworms, and bot larvae (Gasterophilus spp.), as well as external parasites such as mites and lice.
The active ingredient ivermectin works by binding to glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasite nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of the parasites. This ensures optimal health, improves performance, and prevents parasitic complications.
ECOMECTIN is safe with minimal adverse effects in most cases. Transient reactions may occur in massive infestations, including localized edema or pruritus, and rarely mild ataxia or excessive salivation.
Active ingredient: Ivermectin 18.7 mg/g (approximately 140 mg per 7.49 g syringe). Excipients: paste base with flavoring agent.
Use for routine deworming every 2-3 months, or at signs of infestation such as weight loss, anemia, or itching. Suitable for healthy adult horses, stallions, non-pregnant mares, and foals over 6 months of age.
Administer orally directly into the mouth, depositing the paste at the base of the tongue. Dose: 200 mcg ivermectin per kg body weight (1 mL per 10 kg or one full syringe for 600 kg). Adjust the dosing ring according to the animal's weight. Frequency: single application, repeat as per veterinary program (every 8 weeks in endemic areas).
