Draxxin is an injectable antibiotic for the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases in cattle and pigs. It contains tulathromycin, a semisynthetic macrolide antibiotic that acts quickly and provides prolonged protection against bacteria causing respiratory infections.
In cattle, Draxxin treats and prevents Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somni, and Mycoplasma bovis. It also treats Infectious Bovine Keratoconjunctivitis (IBK) associated with Moraxella bovis.
In pigs, Draxxin treats and prevents Porcine Respiratory Disease (PRD) associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, and Haemophilus parasuis.
Active ingredient: Tulathromycin 100 mg per mL.
Treatment and prevention of Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) in cattle and Porcine Respiratory Disease (PRD) in pigs. Also treats Infectious Bovine Keratoconjunctivitis (IBK) in cattle.
Administer 2.5 mg tulathromycin per kg body weight, equivalent to 1 mL per 40 kg. For cattle, give subcutaneous injection. For pigs, give intramuscular injection. Divide doses for animals over 300 kg (cattle) or 80 kg (pigs). Follow your veterinarian's prescription.
