DRAXXIN is indicated for the treatment and prevention of Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus somni, and Mycoplasma bovis. It also treats Infectious Bovine Keratoconjunctivitis (IBK) associated with Moraxella bovis. In swine, DRAXXIN treats and prevents Porcine Respiratory Disease (PRD) associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, and Haemophilus parasuis.
DRAXXIN contains tulathromycin, a semisynthetic macrolide antibiotic. Its unique formulation provides rapid and long lasting action against bacteria causing respiratory infections.
Administer DRAXXIN by subcutaneous injection in cattle and intramuscular injection in swine. The recommended dose is 2.5 mg tulathromycin per kg body weight, equivalent to 1 mL per 40 kg. Follow veterinary guidance for dosing, especially in animals over 300 kg (cattle) and 80 kg (swine), where dividing the dose into multiple injection sites is recommended.
Each mL contains 100 mg of tulathromycin as the active ingredient.
