Injectable solution for managing clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis in dogs.
CYTOPOINT is a solution for injection used to treat the clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis in dogs. The active substance, lokivetmab, targets and neutralizes canine interleukin-31, a key cytokine involved in the itch and inflammation cycle of atopic dermatitis.
In cases of atopic dermatitis, it is recommended to investigate and treat complicating factors such as bacterial, fungal, or parasitic infections (e.g., fleas, mange). Monitor dogs for bacterial infections associated with atopic dermatitis, especially during the first weeks of treatment.
If there is no or limited response one month after the first dose, administer a second dose. If there is no improvement one month after this second dose, the veterinarian should consider alternative treatments.
Active ingredient: lokivetmab 10 mg/mL. Each vial contains 1 mL of solution.
