CYCLAVANCE 5ML is indicated for the treatment of clinical manifestations of atopic dermatitis in dogs. The active substance, cyclosporine at 100 mg/ml, modulates the immune response to reduce pruritus and skin inflammation.
Before initiating treatment, other causes of dermatitis such as ectoparasite infestations, flea allergy dermatitis, food allergy, or bacterial and fungal infections should be ruled out. It is good practice to treat flea infestations before and during therapy.
Clinical signs of atopic dermatitis like itching and inflamed skin are not specific to this disease. The product is administered orally at 5 mg/kg body weight (0.05 ml/kg) 2 hours before or after meals using the dosing syringe.
