CLAMOXYL L.A 250 ml is a sterile injectable suspension containing amoxicillin trihydrate at 150 mg per ml. It treats bacterial enteritis, respiratory infections, pneumonia, genitourinary infections, metritis, wounds, pododermatitis, and mastitis in pigs, sheep, goats, cattle, dogs, and cats.
Amoxicillin is a bactericidal antibiotic active against a wide spectrum of Gram positive and Gram negative pathogens. After intramuscular or subcutaneous administration, it diffuses excellently and reaches high concentrations in all tissues. Plasma protein binding is 17%, and the drug is eliminated actively in urine and bile.
Therapeutic response is rapid. No irritation occurs at the injection site. The product is atoxic and can be repeated after 48 hours if needed.
Each ml contains amoxicillin trihydrate equivalent to 150 mg of amoxicillin.
Indicated for bacterial enteritis, respiratory infections, pneumonia, genitourinary infections, metritis, wounds, and pododermatitis in pigs, sheep, goats, cattle, dogs, and cats. Also treats foot conditions, omphalitis, and mastitis in cattle.
All species: administer 1 ml per 10 kg body weight. If necessary, repeat the dose after 48 hours. Shake the bottle before use. If volume exceeds 20 ml, inject in two separate sites. Massage the injection site after administration.
