Scopolamine butylbromide is an antispasmodic agent that antagonizes acetylcholine actions. It increases heart rate and inhibits salivary and lacrimal secretion. Metamizole sodium is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic and antipyretic effects.
After parenteral administration, both active substances are eliminated mainly through urine. The effect typically lasts 4 to 6 hours. A single administration is sufficient in most cases.
Each ml contains 4 mg scopolamine butylbromide and 500 mg metamizole sodium. Excipients include 5 mg phenol.
For horses with spasmodic colic and esophageal obstruction. Not for use in horses with paralytic ileus, under 6 weeks of age, or with hypersensitivity to active substances or excipients.
