BAYTRIL FLAVOR 15 MG treats bacterial infections in dogs and cats, including respiratory infections, bacterial enteritis, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and otitis. It is also indicated for mixed bacterial infections of the respiratory and digestive organs, urinary tract, ear, and skin, as well as for preventing wound infections.
The active ingredient enrofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that acts bactericidally by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase. It provides a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity and antimycoplasmal action.
For chronic or severe infections, treatment may be extended up to 10 days or more. If no clinical improvement is seen within 3 days, the treatment should be reconsidered.
Each tablet contains enrofloxacin 15 mg.
For dogs and cats: respiratory infections, bacterial enteritis, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and otitis. Also for treatment of individual and mixed bacterial infections of the respiratory and digestive organs, urinary tract, ear, and skin, and for prevention of wound infections.
Dogs: 1 tablet per 3 kg body weight per day for 5 days, equivalent to 5 mg enrofloxacin per kg body weight per day. In chronic or severe cases, treatment may be extended up to 10 days or more. If no improvement in 3 days, reconsider treatment. Administer orally, directly into the mouth or mixed with food.
