BAYTRIL 5% Injectable Solution is an antibacterial and antimycoplasma treatment for bacterial diseases in cattle (calves), pigs, and dogs. It targets respiratory, digestive, and urinary tract infections, as well as skin and wound infections.
The active ingredient enrofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone that kills bacteria by inhibiting DNA gyrase. It provides a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity and antimycoplasma effects.
Dosage varies by species and condition. For pigs: 2.5 mg enrofloxacin/kg daily for 3 days. For calves: 2.5 mg/kg daily for 5 days. For dogs: 5 mg/kg daily for 5 days, up to 10 days for chronic cases.
Each ml contains enrofloxacin 50 mg.
Treats bacterial diseases in cattle (calves), pigs, and dogs. In calves: respiratory and digestive tract infections (E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Mycoplasma bovis). In pigs: digestive tract infections (E. coli), colibacillary diarrhea/septicemia, MMA syndrome, respiratory infections (Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae). In dogs: respiratory, digestive, urinary, skin, and wound infections.
Pigs: 2.5 mg enrofloxacin/kg body weight/day (1 ml per 20 kg) for 3 consecutive days. MMA syndrome: 1-2 days. Max 2.5 ml per injection site. Calves: 2.5 mg/kg/day (1 ml per 20 kg) for 5 days. Max 10 ml per injection site. Dogs: 5 mg/kg/day (1 ml per 10 kg) for 5 days; chronic cases up to 10 days. Reconsider treatment if no improvement in 3 days.
