BAYTRIL 10% 50ML Injectable Solution is an antibacterial and antimycoplasmal treatment for livestock. It contains enrofloxacin 100 mg per ml, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a broad spectrum of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria and mycoplasmas.
The product treats respiratory tract infections caused by Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, and Mycoplasma spp. in cattle, sheep, and goats. It also treats digestive tract infections and septicemia caused by E. coli, as well as acute mastitis and arthritis in young animals.
Dosage varies by species and condition, ranging from 2.5 mg to 5 mg of enrofloxacin per kg body weight daily for 3 to 5 days. Administer subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously as directed.
Each ml contains enrofloxacin 100 mg as the active ingredient.
Cattle: respiratory infections (Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica, Mycoplasma spp.), digestive infections, septicemia from E. coli, acute arthritis from Mycoplasma bovis in animals under 2 years, and acute severe mastitis from E. coli. Sheep: digestive infections and septicemia from E. coli, mastitis from S. aureus and E. coli. Goats: respiratory infections from P. multocida and M. haemolytica. Pigs: respiratory infections (Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma spp., Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae), digestive, urinary, and septicemia from E. coli, and treatment of SDP and MMA syndromes from E. coli and Klebsiella spp.
Cattle: 5 mg enrofloxacin/kg body weight/day (1 ml per 20 kg) for 3 to 5 days. Acute arthritis: 5 mg/kg/day for 5 days, subcutaneous or slow intravenous. Acute mastitis: 5 mg/kg/day slow intravenous for 2 consecutive days; second dose may be subcutaneous. Do not apply more than 10 ml per subcutaneous injection site. Sheep and goats: 5 mg/kg/day subcutaneous for 3 days. Do not apply more than 6 ml per injection site. Pigs: 2.5 mg/kg/day (2.5 ml per 100 kg) intramuscular for 3 days. For digestive infections: 5 mg/kg/day for 3 days, administer in the neck at the base of the ear. Do not apply more than 3 ml per injection site.
