ARPON 100ML is an ectoparasiticidal emulsion concentrate containing 10% cypermethrin. It treats flies (Haematobia irritans, Musca autumnalis, Hydrotaea irritans) and lice (Linognathus spp., Haematopinus spp.) in bovids and equids not intended for human consumption.
Cypermethrin is a type II pyrethroid that acts as a contact ectoparasiticide. It affects sodium channels in nerve membranes, prolonging the transient increase in sodium permeability during excitation. This persistently modifies sodium channels, depolarizes the membrane, and blocks action potential without causing repetitive presynaptic activity.
For fly control, spray at the start of fly season and repeat monthly; spray every 15 days during heavy infestations. For lice control, spray the entire body when lice are observed and repeat as needed with a minimum 14 day interval. Use a 0.1% solution (1 ml ARPON per 100 ml water) applying 500 ml for adults, 250 ml for young animals, and 125 ml for calves and foals.
