Prevents heartworm and treats fleas, ear mites, and gastrointestinal worms in one spot-on solution.
ADVOCATE GATOS is a spot-on solution for cats suffering from or at risk of mixed parasitic infections. It treats flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), ear mites (Otodectes cynotis), notoedric mange (Notoedres cati), and gastrointestinal nematodes including L4 larvae, immature and adult Toxocara cati and Ancylostoma tubaeforme. It also prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis L3 and L4 larvae.
The product acts through contact and systemic activity. The active ingredients imidacloprid and moxidectin are absorbed through the skin and distributed via the bloodstream, targeting parasites on the skin and within the body. Imidacloprid disrupts nerve transmission in insects, while moxidectin paralyzes and kills nematodes and mites.
Clinical efficacy data from the manufacturer supports its use as part of a flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) treatment strategy. Regular monthly application provides continuous protection against reinfestation and prevents heartworm development.
Each 0.8 ml pipette contains 80 mg imidacloprid and 4 mg moxidectin.
For cats weighing 4 to 8 kg. Treats flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), ear mites (Otodectes cynotis), notoedric mange (Notoedres cati), and gastrointestinal nematodes (L4 larvae, immature and adult Toxocara cati and Ancylostoma tubaeforme). Prevents heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis L3 and L4 larvae).
